Wyoming

May 22, 2022

Well four days at Colter Bay RV Park in the Grand Tetons proved to be a terrific place to see this part of Wyoming. The weather was very cold including snow the first day, cold nights down to 20 degrees and chilly days in the 40’s made for some bundling up and Pat wearing long pants. The Grand Tetons, Jackson, Jackson Hole, Yellowstone and surrounding towns were easy to visit and full of wildlife this time of year. Lunch at the Million Dollar Salon, drinks stitting on a saddle at the Cowboy Bar, lunch at Nora’s Fish Cafe, Terrific drive thru Yellowstone, touring Jackson and the ski resort gave us a great understanding on why people visit here. Having a drink at the Mangy Moose was fun. The visiting centers including a movie about Jackson Hole was fantastic. Lots of wildlife to see including Deer, Elk, Bison (including some new borns hanging with thier Mommies) Geese, Ravens and a wolf feeding on a bison carcass, but the highlight of the trip was seeing a Grizzly bear just 20 yards off the highway right in front of us. A five year old male, according to the Ranger was just hanging out on a grassy knoll eating away and posing for pictures. Today is moving day, off to Buffalo, Wyoming for four days then Spearfish, South Dakota for seven day stay over Memorial Day weekend. Here are some pics to enjoy:
